Sarah Baylis has lived in the League City, Texas area since 1998 after relocating from Birmingham, Alabama. How does the saying go? “I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could!” She became a licensed real estate agent in 2020.
“I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, what they do for work, recreation. What’s their passion?”
She enjoys architecture—especially old buildings and local history—treasures of which Houston has a plenty.
She loves to read. Anything. Everything. If it’s a book, it’s in her sights. And if her life were a book, the formative chapters would have taken you on a journey through the high-stakes world of the restaurant business.
For 20 years, she built a career in growing catering and delivery marketshare for a couple successful chains of restaurants, and it was in that role she was able to forge an intimate relationship to the city she’s come to love, block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood, street by street. Although her leadership roles in the hospitality industry ultimately propelled her around the country as an industry leader, League City was always calling her home.
From restaurants to real estate, it’s about location. By harnessing two decades of restaurant sales + marketing experience, it all makes sense. As a real-estate agent, Sarah can offer homebuyers a realistic, detailed assessment of the real estate terrain they’ve set out to explore. There is no blind side for the buyer.
One problem: she is a bit of a fanatic. She can be fanatical about getting homeowners into the perfect home. In her free time, when she’s not giving her son a piggyback ride, she’s probably researching homes, and helping to find the perfect fit for her clients.
Sarah is married to her husband, Les, and they have a wonderful son named Levi. She loves her 2 mutts, is quick-witted and takes great pleasure in making people laugh until they cry. Friends and acquaintances oftentimes ask her why she has never done stand up comedy… Maybe one day she’ll drum up enough courage to give it a shot.
